The Farmer, The Family

Neil Vader comes from a long line of family farmers with a solid tradition of quality and integrity. After graduating from the University of Guelph with degrees in Biology and Crop Science, Neil was the Agriculture Manager for several years at Cobi Foods canning factory in Bloomfield. Shortly before the factory closed, Barb and Neil experimented with the production and distribution of green peas for fresh market, starting in 1988 with a four acre trial plot. The packaged product offered through local grocery outlets was an immediate hit! The process steadily evolved to accommodate demand, and now as the next generation prepares to take the helm, Mill Creek Farm Fresh & Sweet Garden Peas are available throughout Ontario, and now parts of Quebec.

Mill Creek Farm is located minutes from the world famous Sandbanks Provincial Park in beautiful Prince Edward County, Ontario. Along with the recent influx of talented gourmet chefs and vintners, we take great pride in being a part of "Ontario’s Culinary Heartland" and The County's long history of producing Ontario's finest fruits and vegetables!
